I am a recent transplant from Chicago and was lucky enough to be referred to Dr. Polk by a family member. The experience was and continues to be, better than I could have hope for. The entire staff is exceptional and Dr. Polk is a true leader in compassion, education and patient care. It has been quite an adjustment but Dr. Polk and his staff have made such a positive difference in my life and I am blessed to have found them.
Called mid October after relocating to Nac from Dallas. The appt. was a month out. 2 days before the appt. they decided they need paperwork so I had to leave work to get it. Could they not have mailed it in the span of the month? The day before the appt. they called and advised that they are declining to see the patient. No explanation given. Just we don't want to treat you. Who does something so unprofessional? Unbelieveable behavior after a month's wait.
Excellent, speedy service. In 2017, I arrived to my appt about 10 min early, and I was seen within two min (granted I was one of the first patients there for that day). Dr. A. Polk (MD) exhibits superb clinical knowledge and excellent bedside manners. Also, he doesn't make stuff up when you pose a difficult question - He tells you straight. For example: he admitted that he's not the psych expert and that I needed to see a specialist when I asked medicinal questions regarding mental health. On that subject, he will authorize refills on current psych meds that you've ALREADY been prescribed. I found this very helpful and professional. I most definitely recommend Dr. Polk's clinic for your PCP needs!
