I adore Critter Cuts. They groom the service dog for the Nacogdoches County District Attorney's Office every other week, and have for years. She loves them and always looks beautiful when they are finished. She even gets to hang out with the owners' little daughter when she is there. My personal pet dog also spends close to a weekend every month with them. She is so happy to see James when she comes in the door. She has HORRIBLE food allergies and they are always very careful to keep her food separate from other clients'. She NEVER has any symptoms of her allergies when she comes home. That tells me that they take great care of her, because her system is VERY fragile. When I pick my dogs up, all I see are happy, healthy and well treated pets. I highly recommend both their grooming and boarding services.
The owner, James, is wonderful. I usually go in to get my dog a bath, a nail trim, or both. I call to make sure he can squeeze us in his schedule, and he's great about finding time for us. The prices are very nice, as well. I haven't used his kennel services yet, but I have heard great things.
Look. Do not and I repeat do not bring your animal to this hellhole. The owner will give the worst trim and abuse your animal if it doesn't cooperate or moves on the table. Have been told he actually lets the dogs dangle for a second from their collor if they fall off the table. Or just hits the animals when they are uncooperative further scaring the dogs. And did I mention one man actually went to pick his dog up after grooming and found his dog dead in the middle of the highway and asked James how the dog even got out and He had no idea. Very poor management and no care for the animals. If your dog is whining and has to be drug in there for a grooming you should prolly trust your dog. Take them to paws here or that place by Barnhills. Oh and the guy who owns Paws here actually used to work for James and was disgusted at how he treated the animals so he went and got trained and opened his own place. He loves and cares for the animals and truly I have heard nothing but good about Paws Here. Do yourself, your dog, and your wallet a favor and take your business to Paws Here or that other place by Barnhills. Really pisses me off this man is still in business. Trying to give fair warning. And did I mention your dogs will need stitch jobs after he gets through with them cause he cuts quite a few dogs to the point they need stitches cause he is careless. Enough said
