He is not the sort of dentist who does drive-by fillings and auto-refills for any meds. If you are looking for someone to provide pain meds or just get you in and out of there without really caring about his work, go somewhere else. With Dr. Autrey, you'll find a great dentist committed to you as a patient. The fact that he is a great human being doesn't hurt one little bit.
Dr. Autrey is gentle and takes his time, because he knows that what he does may not be the best part of your day, so he and the staff work hard to make it as positive--and even pleasant--as possible. He's done only the work that he and I (yes, he and I) have deemed necessary for me, and I'm appreciative of that. He's taken time out of his day to talk with me about how I was feeling and why my bruxism was getting worse, when and why pain started, causational factors for my TMJ, and all sorts of other things.
He was very gentle.
Dr. Autrey is the best dentist I've even known, and he is also a kind and caring person. He's been my dentist for years (I was referred by a dear friend), and I would not consider going to anyone else. If I am in pain, he works hard to find the cause and take care of the issue. He knows that I have a bit of dental phobia, so he takes his time with any work, explains everything he is doing, and makes sure I am never anxious or upset. The staff has worked me in as an emergency appointment when I've been in real pain, and they are wonderful, too.
