Today, I took our kids to a new dentist for cleanings for the first time since we stopped going to Dr. Fowler's office 7 months ago. After the visit, my children expressed how much more they liked the new dentist than Dr. Fowler. I asked them how it was better. My daughter told me that Dr. Fowler and his staff would yell at her when telling her what to do. My oldest son told me that when Dr. Fowler filled his teeth, they didn't use any kind of pain medicine!!! He went on to tell me how bad it hurt. The worst thing is that I was not informed Dr. Fowler was not going to give him anything much less even the option. If you have used this dentist, you need to talk to your children about their experiences. If you haven't, then please, for the sake of your children, DO NOT take them to Dr. Fowler's office. Please save them from that experience.
This week I decided to price extractions with Nacogdoches dentists. A simple extraction costs $250 at Sidney Fowler's office. When asked about the charge, the receptionist replied,"We are the cheapest place in town." I quickly informed her that they were not even close to being the cheapest. Roger van Horn is the cheapest I have found so far starting at $105.
Don't go here. If it wasn't for them taking CHIPS, we would have found another dentist years ago. Wait times (even with an appointment) are extremely long. I waited over 1 hour and 45 minutes once. The receptionist thought it was funny that we had to wait that long and even made a joke about it! In short, they are very rude and you are treated like cattle.
