It's a ok hospital but alittle slow but freindly
My emergency surgery was a very negative experience. Here is why - This hospital is listed as "in network" by my insurance company. Memorial doesn't tell you, however, that they use "out of network" contractors for many services. This means your bills won't be paid by your insurance company. On top of my deductible and other expected charges I now owe almost $700 to one of these out of network contractors. If you go here know that it will be a terrible financial experience. I spoke to billing about this and while they are aware of the problem, they saw no need to warn me about this when I consented to treatment. If I had known I would have gone elsewhere. To avoid this problem in the future I will use the stand alone ER on North Street.
Horrible staff they show no sympathy, have no manners, and take forever to attend you no matter the emergency you're there for. They never know what they're doing and just don't care about their patients. Just sit/walk around getting paid.
This hospital is a good place to have a baby but emergency room sucks it's so slow been waiting for hours for my 1year old to get seen
We had two children here and both experiences were horrible. I should have learned after the first one but a nurse promised the second would be better. I was told I would be able to be in the room while my wife had her cesarean but was asked to leave right as they started. The same thing happened the second child. When my wife and child were in the room that night, they came in asking when the child last ate and said they would be back with him in 10 minutes so he could eat. I fell asleep and woke up over an hour later and went and asked for my child to be brought back so he could eat. They replied,"We will bring him back when we are done with him." When I went to find hospital administration, they sent a guard to strong arm me into being quiet. Within one week of the experience, I met 6 other couples who had shockingly similar experiences. Do not go to this hospital. I will never go back to this hospital and will never forget what they did.
