I will admit after reading the reviews I was very hesitant about leasing at Sunridge however when we went to tour the property the office staff were very friendly and the apartment she showed us were very clean with nice new appliance's and it even had a fire place. I fell in love the apartment and actually leased it for the fall semester since leasing any time I have a problem they are very quick to send some one over to get it fixed. over all I am very pleased with the complex!
The complex never notifies you of when the water is going to be shut off for maintenance, because it is too much work on their end (was told that by Summer - former leasing manager, not current Summer). When I moved in, my shower had writings on the wall from the previous tenants. Also, the back of my room door had been replaced with a used door that had been drawn on by kids. Our cable hook ups weren't working in the rooms, so Suddenlink had to run a 50ft cable cord from one room to the living room and a cable cord from the master room to the joining room....all so we could have cable in each room. Instead of fixing the floors, the holes and dents were covered by carpet. Our air conditioning units would stop working, and it would be days before maintenance would fix the issue (a 92 degree apartment in the summer wasn't an emergency to them). The office would put notes on our doors notifying us of when maintenance would come to replace air filters, but they'd never come. We put in a maintenance request for our dishwasher, maintenance came, told us a new part had been ordered and it would be fixed within 2 weeks, months later the dishwasher still was never fixed. I have several more complaints. It is just a terrible complex.
We moved into our unit at the end of 2015 so we have seen it all. We have watch the demise but also the new turn around of Sunridge. Prior to new management we struggled to get in contact with the office, rarely could have a maintenance issue fixed and couldn't stand the lack of professionalism from the office. During the summer my apartment complex changed the staff in the office. Since that change has taken place we are no longer waiting for maintenance issues to be resolved. We are now always greeted by friendly ladies in the office, and they are quick to call us back and give us updates on anything regarding Sunridge. So bravo to whoever made these changes. I will be renewing my lease now.
The absolute worst experience ever. Old & new management are terrible. They will scam you so beware. Request your payment ledgers because they do not always document your deposit & rent payments...then will screw you over when you move out. I'm so glad we left when we did. I went into the office requesting to look at our file and it wasn't there. I've been advised to contact the Corporate office in Baton Rouge, Lousiana for more help.
This place is a very nice community, the management is super frendly and very frank. They are not rude just very honest. All of my experiences and issues have been wonderful and have been resolved with ease.
Every couple of months, there is someone new in the office. It's very inconsistent. Nobody could ever answer questions, because they were new and had minimal knowledge of the complex. It was cheap for us as college students, so we went for it. Never again!!!!!
WARNING!! DON'T LEASE FROM HERE!!!. Management is rude and horrible. Maintenance never comes when called. Apartments themselves aren't well maintained. Holes in the floors that have just been covered with carpet. Air conditioner looked like it had never been cleaned and never worked. Lastly, the cops are there almost every night responding to calls.
