This place should not be allowed to call themselves a healthcare provider. Cannot get my wife in for an appointment unless I want to either wait there all day (possibly) for a cancellation or no-show, or wait one month for her to be seen. The reason I'm given for those options is because they "just lost a provider". How funny...cause when I tried to get my son seen back in October of 2016, it was the same thing then.

So what is it they are doing to improve health care coverage for the lower class citizens of the East Texas area? Nothing it would seem.

Honestly if I could I wouldn’t give this place any ratings. Made a phone call to ask a couple of questions and the whole time the lady was rude and then hung up in my face. HORRIBLE customer service.

Was put in a room and taken care of by the nurse quickly. Butwheb she was done, I was instructed to wait on the doctor. An hour and fifteen minutes go by and I soon need to go to work. So after complaining about the wait and stating that I have work, she finally comes in. Everyone was pleasant and thorough, but the wait was ridiculous.

It's a community clinic, which is wonderful but the staff could use some serious training on basic customer service. No one says hello, no one asks how you are, no one even looks you in the eye. They could also go for some VERY basic training, or perhaps be required to read the news. I went in for my gynecological exam and when the young woman asked for a form of payment, I responded with, "Shouldn't the Affordable Care Act cover this?". She asked me what that was and didn't think it was covered and would double check. She goes over to another employee, turns out I was right, which she certainly didn't care to acknowledge. How does someone in the health care field not know about current issues/topics in health care? You don't know what "Obamacare" is?!? My appointment also took over an hour, which was okay. The Pod 2 staff wasn't as bad but, come on people, smile or say hi, something, anything to make people feel welcome!

Wonderful customer service, and first rate care! I have used East Texas Community Health in Nacogdoches for my medical and dental care going on 10 years now. I have had great experiences with every visit to both locations. The clinic has a friendly and efficient front desk staff, a caring nursing staff, and top notch medical providers and dentists. Plus, it's so much cheaper than seeing private practice doctors and dentists! A+
