MORE GOOD NEWS: There seems to be a trend... I've learned by visiting other cities that this friendliness and inclusivity readily presents itself in ALL Nazarene churches. If you're new to Nac and you're seeking a home church, definitely consider visiting this church. However...PREPARE TO HEAR THE TRUTH OF THE GOSPEL FOR THIS PASTOR PREACHES WITH A PASSIONATE HEART. HE IS LOVING, CARING, AND UNRESEREVED AS FAR AS SPEAKING BIBLICAL TRUTH IS CONCERNED.
They were very welcoming to me and my daughter when we didn't know anyone in town. We kept coming back because, there was always a great sense of community with all the different family friendly events. Also we love the positive atomosphere that we got from going to this church.
The people of this church really have the love of Christ thing down. They love in actions and in truth, just like Jesus. The pastor and his wife are refreshingly real and loving. The children's pastor and the youth pastor and their spouses have a genuine love for the kids and are great at coming up with wonderful ways to get the kids of all ages involved.
Wonderful heartfelt pastor and team of people focused on the scripture steeped in prayer, fantastic worship music and singers that really 'feel' the music they are performing. This church has an outstanding children's program there for pre-K and kindergarten with an indoor play area welcome to little ones outside the school year as well as a coffee bar that gives back, also they've a youth ministry for the older kids with trips and retreats for them (as they are the main investment and future)! This church supports full baptism of anyone ready to give their life to the Lord. They offer vacation bible school, support several missions in our community and abroad, lifegroup classes, bible studies, women's groups, have occasional special guest speakers and entertainers. If you're looking for a well rounded 'bible based' home church full of imperfect Godly people doing the Lords work, sharing the word, their love of God and taking care of the less fortunate and sharing meals throughout the weak during the school year together. . Look no further! This church tops my list so far, and I've visited SEVERAL churches since moving here!
When my family moved to Nacogdoches in the summer of 2015, we started looking for a new church Home right away. After jumping from a non-denom. to a Baptist church, we stumbled upon this cozy Nazarene church less than a mile from our home. It became apparent that the Lord wanted us here. Growing up in the Catholic Church, I never even learned the first names of the people sitting in the pews next to me for years. Now, I've not only learned the first names of the Nazarene members, but I know their last names, their kids' names, AND have their phone numbers. The congregation makes new people feel welcomed; and, as we're instructed in the New Testament, they lift each other up in prayer and encourage one another.
I love this church! The music is great, the people are loving, and there is child care for nearly every event! Proud to be a member.
